As many as 97 outlets of the Merah Putih Village/Urban Ward Cooperatives (KDKMP) have been completed. Additionally, 36 operational vehicles in the form of six-wheeled trucks were symbolically handed over to selected KDKMP on Monday, 6 April 2026.

The handover ceremony was led directly by the Regent of Kediri, Hanindhito Himawan Pramana, accompanied by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) at the Simpang Lima Gumul Monument area. These vehicles represent the initial stage of distribution to support KDKMP operations throughout Kediri Regency.

The Regent, affectionately known as Mas Dhito, stated that the distribution of operational vehicles would continue until all KDKMP receive equal support. He explained that Kediri Regency overall targets 344 KDKMP covering all villages and urban wards, with the construction of these cooperatives progressing steadily.

“For me, this is not about who is the fastest, but who lasts the longest in managing the cooperative because they must be able to identify each village’s potential according to their respective focuses,” said Mas Dhito after the symbolic handover of the KDKMP operational vehicles.

He emphasised the importance of sustainable cooperative management that can explore and utilise the unique potentials of each village. This aligns with the implementation guidelines of the Minister of Cooperatives number 1 of 2025, which allows KDKMP to operate in various sectors.

The sectors mentioned include sembako or retail outlets, affordable medicine outlets/village pharmacies, cooperative office outlets, savings and loan business outlets, village clinic outlets, cold storage outlets, logistics, and other businesses suitable to members’ needs and village potentials. “When a village has potential in pineapple agricultural commodities, it is expected that the commodities sold are in processed form,” he said.

He strongly encouraged product diversification as an effective strategy to expand markets while mobilising Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) actors at the village level. “It is not impossible that we will strengthen UMKM to level up, so as to reduce the open unemployment rate (TPT),” said Mas Dhito.

Concrete support also came from the TNI ranks. The Commander of Kodim 0809/Kediri, Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Dhavid Nur Hadiansyah, fully appreciated Regent Dhito’s commitment in facilitating land provision for KDKMP in Kediri Regency. He explained that each KDKMP outlet would receive one six-wheeled truck as the initial operational vehicle.

“Later, it will be distributed gradually: one pick-up car unit, then two three-wheeled motorcycle units,” said Dandim Dhavid Nur Hadiansyah. He detailed that the facilities inside the outlets would also be adequately equipped, from display cases, air conditioning, cash registers, to medical equipment for village clinics such as examination tables and health tools.

“It will be handed over symbolically for each stage; for now, in the first stage, we are receiving 36 six-wheeled truck units,” he said.
