Kediri Regency receives 36 trucks for KDMP from central government
Kediri (ANTARA) - Kediri Regency, East Java, has received 36 units of trucks for the operational vehicles of 36 Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP) in the regency from the central government.
Regent of Kediri Hanindhito Himawan Pramana stated that the operational vehicles are being distributed to all KDMP. For the time being, 36 trucks have arrived, intended for 36 KDMP.
“These operational vehicles will later be distributed to the KDMP,” he said after the symbolic handover ceremony for the KDMP operational vehicles at the Simpang Lima Gumul (SLG) area in Kediri Regency on Monday.
He revealed that there are currently 97 KDMP outlets in Kediri Regency whose construction has been completed 100 percent. However, in total, there are 344 villages and wards in the regency, so the rest are still in process.
The trucks are intended to strengthen the logistics supply chain and village agricultural produce. The programme is part of the commitment to revive the people’s economy through strengthening cooperatives at the village or ward level.
In accordance with the implementation guidelines from the Minister of Cooperatives Number 1 of 2025, there are several sectors that KDMP can engage in, including opening staple goods outlets or trading, cheap medicine outlets/village pharmacies, cooperative office outlets, savings and loan business outlets, village clinic outlets, cold storage outlets, logistics, or other businesses according to the needs of members and village potential.
Mas Dhito, his familiar nickname, gave an example that a village with pineapple agricultural commodity potential is expected to sell processed pineapples.
According to him, product diversification has been continuously encouraged so far. Besides expanding markets, it also mobilises village MSME actors.
“It is not impossible that we will strengthen so that MSMEs can level up, in order to reduce the open unemployment rate,” said Mas Dhito.
