Kediri Regency Conducts Field Survey for Student Input into People's School
Kediri (ANTARA) - The Kediri Regency Government, East Java, is conducting field surveys to ensure data for prospective students intending to enter or be enrolled in the People’s School is accurately targeted.
“I request that there be no mistakes; it is mandatory to conduct field surveys when inputting children into the People’s School,” said Kediri Regent Hanindhito Himawan Pramana in Kediri on Thursday.
He stated that the construction process of the People’s School in Plosokidul Village, Plosoklaten Subdistrict, Kediri Regency, is still ongoing. The People’s School will eventually cover levels from primary school to high school.
Built on 7.6 hectares of land provided by the Kediri Regency Government, the People’s School will accommodate around 1,080 students.
The Regent hopes that children from Deciles 1 and 2 in Kediri Regency can become students at the People’s School.
The Regent has also directly inspected the construction process of the People’s School. He was accompanied by Kediri Police Chief AKBP Bramastyo Priaji and officials from the Kediri Regency Government.
Currently, the progress of the People’s School construction has reached 49 percent, faster than the planned target of 47 percent.
The team hopes the construction process can be completed soon so that it can be utilised for the new academic year.
“Hopefully, by 20 June 2026, the People’s School project will be completed,” he said.
In addition to providing land for the school, the local government is also building access roads, drainage, water networks, including electricity connections for the operation of the People’s School.
“In principle, we will always support the People’s School,” he said.
Currently, the Kediri Regency Government is utilising the Civil Servant Competency Development Agency (BPK ASN) Hall in Bulusari Village, Tarokan Subdistrict, as a learning location for children. The site is temporarily converted into the Kediri 24 Upper Secondary People’s School (SRMA 24 Kediri).
Meanwhile, SRMA 24 Kediri now houses 100 students. The school is designed as a boarding school, with daily learning and character-building activities.
The students live in dormitories, study with 17 teachers, are guided by 10 guardians and four dormitory supervisors, and receive complete facilities including three meals a day, two snacks, uniforms, health checks, and laptop computers for each student.
