Kediri 'Pocong' Content Created for Sensationalism, Three Arrested
Kasatreskrim AKP Joshua Peter Krisnawan stated that the three arrested individuals had created the pocong content. The motive of the three suspects was to follow the trending horror content on social media. ‘Based on the investigation, the suspects created the pocong video solely for sensationalism and social media fame. They were following the current viral trend on social media,’ Joshua said. However, the suspects’ actions caused public concern as the pocong video spread widely across various social media platforms. Police then conducted an investigation and arrested the three individuals involved. The three suspects are currently undergoing further questioning at the Kediri Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Police have also urged the public not to create content that incites public unrest in pursuit of viral fame. ‘Do not create content that unsettles the public. Use social media responsibly and avoid causing public order disturbances for the sake of content,’ he added.
