Kediri Customs Head Detained by KPK, Three Luxury Motorcycles Seized as Evidence

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained the head of the Kediri Customs Supervision and Service Office (KPP), Gatot Heroe Hernanda, after he was questioned as a suspect at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Jakarta on Wednesday (26/8/2026). Gatot left the building at around 5.52 p.m. Western Indonesia Time wearing an orange detainee vest and handcuffs before being taken to a detention vehicle.

Gatot is a new suspect in the development of a bribery case related to goods imports within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance. Before serving as head of Kediri Customs, Gatot was recorded as having served as head of the enforcement sub-directorate at the P2 Directorate of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise from June 2023 to February 2026.

As part of the investigation, the KPK displayed three large-displacement motorcycles that were seized as evidence in the case. The motorcycles are a BMW, a Triumph and a Kawasaki.
