Jakarta, VIVA – The KedaiKOPI survey institute has recorded a high level of public satisfaction with the Indonesian National Police’s (Polri) performance in securing and managing the flow of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming. As many as 84.1 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with Polri’s overall performance.

These results were presented by Head of Research at KedaiKOPI, Ashma Nur Afifah, during the annual survey briefing on the implementation of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming, on Monday, 6 April 2026. The survey was conducted from 23–30 March 2026, involving 1,101 respondents who met the criteria as 2026 Eid homecomers.

In the survey, KedaiKOPI measured police performance from two main aspects: the performance of traffic police (Polantas) on the roads and the police’s role in maintaining security in residential areas left empty by homecomers.

From the traffic perspective, 80.6 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with Polantas’s performance in maintaining the smooth flow of homecoming traffic. Meanwhile, 81.7 percent of respondents were satisfied with Polantas’s performance in ensuring safety during the homecoming journey.

Regarding environmental security, the level of public trust in the police to guard homes and neighbourhoods left by homecomers was recorded at 79.4 percent.

“If we focus on all aspects questioned regarding police performance, namely maintaining traffic flow, ensuring homecoming traffic safety, and securing home environments, then the average satisfaction score is 7.81. The number of respondents satisfied with Polri’s overall performance is 84.1 percent,” said Ashma.

Additionally, traffic engineering policies such as the one-way system and contraflow received positive responses from the public. As many as 80.8 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the implementation of these policies during this year’s Eid homecoming period.

In response to the survey results, the Head of the National Traffic Corps of Polri, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, conveyed appreciation and thanks to all stakeholders who have collaborated in supporting the smooth and secure 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming.

Thanks were also extended to the National Police Chief, General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who directly went to the field to monitor the situation and provide directions to personnel across all regions.

“We express our thanks for the public’s trust and appreciation. This serves as motivation for us to continue improving the quality of services to the community, especially during important moments like the Eid al-Fitr homecoming,” said the Head of the National Traffic Corps.
