Kebon Sirih Transjakarta Bus Stop Temporarily Closed Due to MRT Construction
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has announced that the Kebon Sirih bus stop heading towards Kota will be temporarily closed from Friday until Monday, 20 July 2026, at 05.00 WIB. The closure is due to road repair works linked to the Jakarta MRT construction.
Ayu Wardhani, Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department at PT Transportasi Jakarta, advised passengers who usually use the Kebon Sirih bus stop towards Kota to utilise the nearest alternative bus stops, namely Bank Indonesia or Monumen Nasional, to continue their journey.
“During the temporary closure of the Kebon Sirih bus stop towards Kota, we urge customers to use the alternative bus stops that have been provided so that their journey remains safe, comfortable, and smooth,” Ayu said in Jakarta on Friday.
She stated that this service adjustment is a form of Transjakarta’s support for the integrated public transport infrastructure development in Jakarta, as well as to ensure customer safety during the construction process. Transjakarta services will continue to operate normally throughout the works.
It was previously known that the Kebon Sirih bus stop heading towards Blok M was also temporarily closed from 15 to 18 May 2026 due to the Jakarta MRT Phase 2A project. The MRT Jakarta Phase 2 development stretches approximately 11.8 kilometres from the Bundaran HI area to Ancol Barat, continuing the north-south corridor of Phase 1, which has been operating since 2019 from Lebak Bulus to Bundaran HI. With the completion of Phase 2, the total length of the north-south line will reach around 27.8 kilometres, with a total travel time from Lebak Bulus Grab Station to Kota Station of approximately 45 minutes.
