Kebon Sirih Road in Front of DKI DPRD Building to Be Concreted

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Kebon Sirih Road in Central Jakarta has been reported to experience damage repeatedly. However, repairs have been carried out multiple times on this road section located in front of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building.

Head of the Jakarta Provincial Public Works Department, Heru Suwondo, stated that his agency has repeatedly conducted repairs on Kebon Sirih Road. However, the smooth condition of that road section never lasts long before damage recurs.

“It turns out that Kebon Sirih Road, after our evaluation, has poor underlying conditions, and there are indeed excavations. This is what keeps happening on Kebon Sirih year after year,” said Heru during a working meeting with Commission D of the DKI DPRD, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (23/4/2026).

Heru stated that his team plans to carry out repairs again on Kebon Sirih Road this year. However, the repairs will not be done as before, but instead by concreting the entire length of the road. “We will use concrete on Kebon Sirih,” said Heru.
