Kebon Sirih Bus Stop Temporarily Closed Due to MRT Project
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is temporarily closing the Kebon Sirih bus stop in the direction of Blok M or southbound from 15 May 2026 at 10:00 PM WIB until 18 May 2026 at 5:00 AM WIB. The closure of the bus stop is due to road repair work that forms part of the Jakarta MRT construction project. Head of Public Relations and CSR Department at Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, stated that this service reconfiguration is intended to support the smooth progress of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A project work. “This temporary closure is being carried out to support the road repair work as part of the Jakarta MRT construction project,” said Ayu in her statement in Jakarta on Thursday (14/5), quoting Antara. During the closure period, passengers can still use the Kebon Sirih bus stop in the direction of the city or northbound to continue their journey as usual. Transjakarta also urges passengers to adjust their travel routes during the work period and follow developments through the company’s official channels. “We apologise for the inconvenience experienced by passengers. We urge passengers to adjust their travel routes and follow the latest information through official Transjakarta channels,” said Ayu. Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government states that the progress of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A construction on the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia-Kota route has reached 59.7 percent. The MRT Phase 2A project is targeted to enter the testing phase in mid-2027. After that, the MRT line to Harmoni is targeted to start operating no later than the end of 2027.
