Kebon Jeruk Fest blends sports, culture, and Indonesian cuisine
The West Jakarta City Government is organising the Kebon Jeruk Fest Harmony 2026 as a space for community togetherness through a festival of sports, arts, culture, culinary delights, and entertainment to strengthen unity and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
“This activity is themed ‘Sport & Culture Festival’ with the slogan ‘Fun Together, Harmony Forever’, providing a space for the community to exercise together, enjoy various cultural arts, and taste traditional Indonesian cuisine,” said the Head of Kebon Jeruk District, Agus Mulyadi, when confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday.
Agus stated that Kebon Jeruk Fest Harmony serves as a platform to strengthen social bonds, increase community participation, and foster environmental awareness and a healthy spirit.
“Through Kebon Jeruk Fest Harmony 2026, we want to provide a space for togetherness for all residents. This activity is not only an entertainment event but also strengthens unity, preserves culture, encourages a healthy lifestyle, and builds environmental awareness,” he said.
The event, held in the courtyard of the Kebon Jeruk District Office, commenced with a Fun Walk and continued with a series of activities, including an independence parade, a waste sorting movement, pound fit aerobics, group gymnastics, arts and cultural performances, a traditional Indonesian culinary bazaar, Betawi artist entertainment, and prize distributions.
“Therefore, in addition to being a family recreation venue, this festival also serves as a momentum to introduce Indonesia’s cultural diversity, strengthen the values of mutual cooperation (gotong royong), and encourage active community participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness,” Agus added.
He invited the public to attend and enliven Kebon Jeruk Fest Harmony 2026, as a form of collaboration between the government, communities, and the public in building a healthy, harmonious, and cultured West Jakarta.
“Ncang, Ncing, Nyak, Babeh [traditional Betawi terms of endearment], come, participate, witness, and enjoy the cuisine from across the archipelago at Kebon Jeruk Fest Harmony 2026,” he concluded.
