One of the users of the Kebayoran skywalk, Yulida, admitted that she had to walk slowly to avoid bumping into people or objects around the location. According to her, several other users also took the initiative to turn on their mobile phone torches due to the dark conditions. “Someone said ‘turn on the torch, it’s dark already’, like that,” said Yulida when contacted on Thursday (7/5/2026). Yulida admitted that she once bumped into another user and nearly hit the skywalk’s ceiling, which is low due to the lack of lighting. She said the lights that were out were only in the skywalk area, while the lights at Velbak Bus Stop and Kebayoran Station were still on normally. “I almost crashed into that ceiling, there are low parts, right,” she said. At 19:02 WIB, the location was observed to be busy with residents passing by, both from the direction of Velbak Bus Stop and Kebayoran Station. “Earlier, there were many people passing from both directions,” she said. She hopes that the relevant parties will quickly repair the lighting on the skywalk because it is considered dangerous for users. “Hopefully it’s fixed soon. Because it’s dangerous, right, it’s dark,” she added.
