The Bandung Regency government held a coffee morning to discuss preparations for the 385th anniversary of Bandung Regency as well as plans for a visit by the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) regarding the uninhabitable house renovation (rutilahu) programme, on Friday (10/4/2026) at the Regent’s Official Residence in Soreang.

The Head of the Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Office of Bandung Regency, Enjang Wahyudin, stated that there are three prospective recipients of renovation assistance for uninhabitable houses from the Ministry of Housing in Banyusari Village. They are Bu Oom, Pak Adang, and Ibu Iis.

In addition, one house belonging to Mak Mimih in the same location will also be visited. Mak Mimih’s house had previously received renovation assistance from the Bandung Regency government.

He explained that data on uninhabitable houses in Bandung Regency is continuously updated through an application based on the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS). Based on data updates from 2021 to 2026, the number of uninhabitable houses in Bandung Regency has experienced a significant increase.

“In 2021, there were around 37,000 uninhabitable houses. Interventions carried out totalled 7,431 units in 2021, 7,397 units in 2022, and 7,506 units in 2023. In 2024, the number of uninhabitable houses increased to 56,000 units, and in 2026 to 76,000 units,” he revealed.

Cumulatively, Enjang said, the total number of uninhabitable houses renovated by the Bandung Regency government together with the provincial government and the ministry reaches around 32,000 units. Thus, there are still around 44,000 uninhabitable houses that have not received intervention.

He also mentioned that the ten sub-districts with the highest rutilahu interventions include Pacet, Pangalengan, Cikancung, Cimaung, Kutawaringin, Paseh, Kertasari, Ibun, Ciwidey, and Ciparay.

Meanwhile, Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna, familiarly known as KDS, emphasised the importance of readiness from all regional apparatus in successfully commemorating the 385th anniversary of Bandung Regency.

“I hope that on this Bandung Regency anniversary momentum, civil servants can be mobilised to carry out rubbish clean-up actions. Please divide tasks across the 31 sub-districts,” said KDS.

Regarding the rutilahu programme, KDS requested that the Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Office accelerate the programme’s implementation as a form of support for central government policies.

“I order to accelerate the rutilahu programme. Please match my swift actions with support from department heads, including providing the latest data, administrative paperwork, and support from the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office. This rutilahu programme will be a focus,” said KDS.

Through these steps, the Bandung Regency government is committed to continuously improving the quality of community housing while successfully implementing development agendas integrated with the central government.
