KDM to Merge All West Java Regional Enterprises into Superholding, Similar to Danantara

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has confirmed plans to merge all Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) into a single Superholding institution to overhaul asset management deemed unproductive. This policy will adopt the Danantara concept already implemented at the national level.

KDM, as Dedi Mulyadi is familiarly known, said the concept of merging the BUMDs has been conveyed to the West Java Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD). He therefore hopes that discussions can begin this year.

He stated that the management of the regional companies would also be ensured to be filled by professional figures. "We will simplify the BUMDs into one BUMD. We have conveyed this to the DPRD, and hopefully, it can be discussed in the first plenary session this year," Dedi Mulyadi said in Cimahi City on Tuesday (4/8/2026).

The West Java Provincial Government, he said, is currently identifying all BUMDs that are considered no longer productive. These regional state-owned companies will be terminated if the identification results show they do not provide a positive impact.

"Secondly, today we continue to identify BUMDs that are not productive. If so, just terminate them," Dedi Mulyadi stated.
