KDM to lead Eid al-Adha 2026 prayers in Mekarharja, Banjar
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Adha tomorrow, Wednesday, 27 May 2026. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has chosen Banjar City as the venue for this year’s Eid al-Adha prayers.
He also extended prayers and congratulations to all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims currently performing the wuquf ritual in Arafat ahead of the 1447 Hijriah Eid al-Adha. Governor KDM, as he is commonly known, hopes that the Hajj rituals will foster spiritual strength and social compassion in daily life.
“To all Hajj pilgrims currently performing wuquf in Arafat, I extend my best wishes for the wuquf ritual and the Arafat sunnah fast,” KDM said in a statement on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.
He added that Hajj is not only about building a relationship with God but also strengthening bonds between people and care for the environment.
“May the entire Hajj journey cultivate spiritual and social strength to build harmonious relationships between humans and Allah the Creator, among people, and with the universe,” he said.
