KDM personally delivers West Java aid for NTT earthquake victims' homes

Bandung (ANTARA) - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi personally handed over aid worth Rp4 billion from various elements in West Java to help repair homes damaged by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The housing repair capital assistance scheme is set according to the level of building damage, namely Rp20 million for the heavily damaged category, Rp10 million for moderately damaged, and Rp5 million for houses with light damage.

“Residents can rest assured, damaged houses can be repaired immediately. Hopefully NTT recovers and rises quickly,” said Dedi Mulyadi in a statement in Bandung on Sunday.

In addition to handing over cash assistance, while directly inspecting a number of earthquake-affected locations in NTT since Friday (21/8) to monitor the condition of residents’ houses that suffered cracked walls to collapse, Dedi also distributed logistical aid to meet the basic daily needs of the affected community.

The West Java Provincial Government’s emergency response step was met with an emotional reception from local residents who are struggling to recover conditions after the disaster.

“Thank you for helping Flores,” said one beneficiary, Nina.

It was reported that humanitarian support for NTT earthquake victims from the West Java region also flowed from elements of the state civil apparatus (ASN) and the people of Depok City who also helped raise aid worth Rp500 million.
