KDM issues stern warning against 'titip siswa' in Maung School admissions, penalties to be severe
BANDUNG — Registration for West Java SPMB 2026 for Sekolah Manusia Unggul (Maung) applicants begins on Monday, 25 May 2026. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has stressed that no ‘titip-menitip’ practices are allowed in the new student admissions process for Sekolah Maung, which will open registration from 25 to 29 May 2026.
The governor, commonly known as KDM, emphasised that the elite school, prepared by the West Java Provincial Government, is intended for students with the best academic and non-academic qualifications. Therefore, the entire selection process must be transparent and uphold integrity.
‘No elite school should have placements based on anyone’s request, under any name or for any purpose,’ KDM stated.
KDM also urged all school principals and admission committee members to maintain integrity and avoid practices contrary to the school’s elite principles.
The former Purwakarta regent also threatened to dismiss any school principals or committee members proven involved in irregularities in the new student admission process. ‘I will not hesitate to dismiss school principals, committee members, or anyone involved in disreputable processes at the elite school,’ he stressed.
KDM also confirmed that the West Java Provincial Government will take legal action against those proven to have committed fraud in the new student admissions at the elite school. He stated that the ‘titip-menitip’ culture must not undermine the school’s purpose of producing high-quality human resources.
‘There must be no ’titip-menitip’ culture, and we will not hesitate to take legal action against anyone proven involved in misconduct,’ he added.
