KDM Assures Diponegoro Road in Bandung Will Not Be Closed During Gedung Sate Renovation
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has assured that there will be no closure of Diponegoro Road in Bandung City. His statement serves as a rebuttal to information that had been circulating among the public.
He emphasised that the installation of a sign stating the road closure from 30 April to 7 August 2026 is invalid and lacks approval from the provincial government. “Beloved residents of Bandung, Diponegoro Road will not be closed. Furthermore, the sign stating closure from 30 April to 7 August 2026 is declared invalid because it was installed without the governor’s approval,” said the governor, familiarly known as KDM, in his statement on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
According to him, the public can continue their activities as usual without worrying about any access closures in the area. He also urged residents to maintain order, cleanliness, and the beauty of the city.
“May we at all times be able to carry out activities as usual, maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of Bandung City, which is the pride of us all,” he said.
KDM added that the government is currently undertaking the arrangement of the Gedung Sate grounds area. He hopes the process will proceed safely, smoothly, and on time without significantly disrupting public mobility.
“May the arrangement of the Gedung Sate grounds proceed safely, smoothly, and on time,” he stated.
The West Java Provincial Government assures continued coordination so that every policy related to infrastructure and urban arrangement can proceed according to procedure. On the other hand, this will also avoid causing confusion among the public.
