The Special Dulag Festival 1447H/2026M was held in the courtyard of Gedung Sate, Bandung City. The festival aims to preserve a tradition that is now rarely practised in mosques, while also serving as an event for silaturahim. The Special Dulag Festival was participated in by 57 entrants, consisting of 37 from Organisational Units (OPD) within the West Java Provincial Government and 20 from districts and cities in West Java, on Friday (20/3/2026). “The tradition of ‘beating the drum’ is hardly found in city centres, let alone in villages. Many mosques no longer have drums,” said the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi. According to KDM, the familiar name for Dedi Mulyadi, the Special Dulag Festival is also held with the aim of making similar activities, such as takbiran, more orderly. “Not in the form of roaming takbiran that causes traffic jams and sometimes leads to conflicts,” he said. Furthermore, KDM stated that the Special Dulag Festival serves as a forum for silaturahim among stakeholders and all levels of society in West Java. In the festival, for the provincial OPD level, first place was won by the Health Department, second place by the Education Department, and third place by the Regional Civil Service Agency. First consolation prize went to the Regional Secretariat, second consolation to the Investment Department, and third consolation to the Regional Disaster Management Agency. Meanwhile, the favourite winner for the OPD category was the Water Resources Department. For the district and city category, first place was won by Karawang Regency, second by Purwakarta Regency, and third by Bandung Regency. First consolation went to Sumedang Regency, second consolation to Majalengka Regency, and third consolation to Bandung Regency. The favourite winner for the district and city category was Tasikmalaya City. In addition to trophies, the winners of the Special Dulag Festival 1447H/2026M also received development funds: first place Rp15 million, second place Rp12.5 million, and third place Rp10 million. Consolation winners also received trophies and development funds: Consolation I Rp7.5 million, Consolation II Rp5 million, and Consolation III Rp2.5 million. Meanwhile, favourite participants received a trophy and development funds of Rp10 million.
