KDD to form Taiwan units

TOKYO (DPA): Japan's major international common telephone
carrier KDD Corporation announced on Monday it will transform its
representative offices in South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines
into subsidiaries from Tuesday.

The new subsidiaries will extend its services such as
supplying telephone and computer-related products, consulting
customers for establishing better data network system.

KDD's offices in Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia will also
become subsidiaries by the end of March to provide similar
services, the company said.
