KCIC states Whoosh high-speed train service runs smoothly during Eid

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has assured that the Whoosh high-speed train service ran smoothly during the 2026 Eid transportation period, backed by various facility and service enhancements. KCIC Corporate Communication Manager, Emir Monti, stated that all Whoosh journeys since the start of the Eid transportation post on 13 March 2026 have been safe, smooth, and under control. “Since the Eid transportation post began on 13 March 2026, all Whoosh trips have proceeded safely, smoothly, and under control,” Emir told ANTARA via a short message received in Jakarta on Friday. Emir explained that this smoothness resulted from KCIC’s various efforts, both in passenger services and operational readiness during the high-mobility period. On the facility side, KCIC upgraded station services by providing regular and VIP waiting rooms, prayer rooms, nursing mother rooms, toilets including special facilities for the disabled, and health posts. Additionally, tenant areas were available to meet passengers’ needs while waiting for departure. KCIC also equipped supporting facilities such as free WiFi services and water stations to enhance passenger comfort at the stations. To create a more enjoyable travel experience, KCIC added entertainment facilities like children’s playgrounds and station entertainment activities. He noted that enhancements were also made in cleanliness and staff service aspects. On the operational side, KCIC reinforced human resources, from service staff and security to operational crew. Emir assured that all personnel were in prime condition through health checks before duty. He added that KCIC also optimised intermodal transportation service integration to facilitate passenger mobility. This connectivity includes feeder train services, online transportation, shuttles, and other onward modes. These steps are deemed important to ensure more integrated passenger journeys, especially during the Eid period, which is synonymous with a surge in public mobility. “KCIC is committed to continuously maintaining the quality of the Whoosh high-speed train service, while supporting the smooth flow of homecoming and return travels during Eid 2026,” he said.
