Jakarta (ANTARA) - General Manager of Corporate Secretary at PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), Eva Chairunisa, stated that ticket sales for the Whoosh train reached 145,000 during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr exodus period.

Eva indicated that this data signifies an increase in ticket sales during the Eid exodus compared to regular days.

In a press release received in Jakarta on Friday, the figure of 145,000 tickets was recorded up to today at 08:00 WIB.

“Total tickets sold reached approximately 145,000 for the travel period from 13 to 30 March 2026,” as quoted from the press release.

For sales on this day alone, Eva continued, PT KCIC has successfully sold 10,000 Whoosh train tickets. The sales volume is estimated to continue increasing and reach 18,000 tickets.

To anticipate a higher number of passengers, KCIC has strengthened the security system at every Whoosh train station.

This strengthening of the security system involves deploying 551 combined personnel consisting of KCIC security officers as well as TNI and Police personnel.

In addition, KCIC has stationed 309 internal company post officers at all Whoosh stations, the Central Post of the Ministry of Transportation, and various operational work areas of Whoosh.

All of this is done to maintain the security and comfort of passengers while at the station or on the train.

Eva also urged the public to purchase Whoosh train tickets through official channels to receive maximum service.

“KCIC urges the public to immediately book Whoosh tickets, especially through online channels such as the Whoosh app, website ticket.kcic.co.id, and partner apps like Access by KAI, Livin’ by Mandiri, BRImo, Wondr by BNI, Tiket.com, Traveloka, and Trip.com, to obtain the desired travel schedule,” Eva explained.
