KCIC Reminds Passengers of Power Socket Usage Rules at Whoosh Stations and Trains
KCIC reminds all Whoosh train passengers to use power sockets responsibly. The warning comes as the long weekend holiday period coincides with the post-Idul Adha 1447 H/2026 M and Pancasila Day on 1 June, leading to a sharp rise in service usage. By 10:00 WIB on Saturday, 30 May 2026, Whoosh ticket sales had reached approximately 12,000. PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) projects passenger numbers could reach 20,000 by 1 June 2026, a 15 percent increase compared to regular days. KCIC’s Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, stated that charging facilities are among the services frequently used by passengers during their journey. ‘Whoosh provides various travel support facilities for passengers, including power sockets in station waiting areas and on trains for charging personal devices,’ Eva said in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday (30 May 2026). KCIC explained that power sockets at stations and trains can be used for personal electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, power banks, and other devices, provided usage is reasonable. Power socket use is permitted as long as it does not compromise safety, Whoosh operations, or other passengers’ comfort. KCIC also reminds passengers not to use additional electrical terminals, high-power devices, or modified equipment when using power sockets. Such devices may disrupt safety and comfort during travel. Passengers are urged not to forcibly unplug others’ devices. KCIC also advises against leaving charging electronics unattended.
