KCIC prepares health posts at every Whoosh station for Eid
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has prepared health posts at every Whoosh high-speed train station to serve the public during the 2026 Eid holiday period.
“Health posts are available at every station. These health posts are also prepared in case, for example, during the journey from Padalarang to Halim, there is a passenger in a very emergency condition. They might then be dropped off at Karawang, where there is a health post that remains on standby. So, they are truly on alert if at any time there are conditions affecting passengers that may require initial assistance,” said General Manager of Corporate Secretary at PT KCIC, Eva Chairunisa, to ANTARA in Jakarta on Sunday.
According to Eva, the health posts at every Whoosh station do not operate independently, meaning these health posts coordinate and collaborate with the nearest health facilities.
“So we are already connected. For example, hospitals, puskesmas and the like, we are already connected so that if, for example, there is an incident at Halim, we no longer have to worry because we already know which hospital is the nearest and we have already cooperated so that usually they can send an ambulance and so on. So these preparations are indeed very important,” she said.
“But we ask the public for their cooperation again, even though this is only about 30 minutes of travel from Jakarta to Bandung, the train still cannot stop at any time if there are special passenger conditions, so usually if there is a passenger condition that we know from the beginning is not possible to use Whoosh, they will not be allowed,” she added.
For information, PT KCIC stated that for today’s journey on Sunday, 22 March 2026, the number of Whoosh passengers is predicted to reach more than 21,000 as sales continue until the last departure.
The increase in volume has been visible since 18 March 2026. Cumulatively, Whoosh ticket sales during the Eid transportation period from 13 to 30 March 2026 have reached around 178,000 tickets and are projected to continue increasing until the holiday period ends.
PT KCIC has prepared 551 personnel for securing Lebaran 2026 homecoming mobility to ensure the smooth running of the holiday transportation period.
Eva said KCIC is committed to providing safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation services for the public during the Eid transportation period.
Eva explained that the security personnel consist of KCIC’s internal security officers, operational security officers, as well as support from TNI and Polri placed at stations, operational tracks, and depot areas.
To ensure optimal operations and services during Eid transportation, KCIC has also prepared various operational personnel.
