KCIC deploys 551 security personnel for 2026 Lebaran homecoming mobility
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) is deploying 551 security personnel for the 2026 Lebaran homecoming mobility to ensure the smooth running of the holiday transport period. General Manager of Corporate Secretary at KCIC, Eva Chairunisa, stated that KCIC is committed to providing safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation services for the public during the Lebaran transport period. “With various operational preparations, safety technology support, and available service facilities, KCIC is ready to serve public mobility during the Lebaran transport period with safe, comfortable, and on-time Whoosh journeys,” Eva told ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday. Eva explained that the security personnel consist of KCIC’s internal security officers, operational security personnel, and support from the TNI and Polri, stationed at stations, operational tracks, and depot areas. To ensure optimal operations and services during the Lebaran transport period, KCIC is also deploying various operational personnel. From the train operations side, said Eva, there are 352 operational crew personnel including train drivers, train technicians, Central Operations Control (OCC) officers, and in-train service crew. “These operational personnel also hold certifications from the Ministry of Transportation in accordance with railway operational safety standards,” she said. Throughout Lebaran 2026, KCIC will provide 62 Whoosh trips per day with a total of 653,888 seats available. From Halim Station in Jakarta, the first trip departs at 06:25 WIB and the last at 21:25 WIB. Meanwhile, from Tegalluar Summarecon Station in Cileunyi, West Java, the first trip departs at 06:05 WIB and the last train at 21:05 WIB. Whoosh tickets for the Lebaran transport period can be booked through all official sales channels, namely the Whoosh application, the official website ticket.kcic.co.id, and partner applications such as Access by KAI, Livin’ by Mandiri, BRImo, Wondr by BNI, Tiket.com, Traveloka, and Trip.com.
