PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has added six Whoosh train services to accommodate the peak of the long holiday return period during Waisak and Pancasila Day commemorations. KCIC’s Corporate Secretary General Manager Eva Chairunisa stated that the daily number of Whoosh services has risen from 62 to 68. ‘The additional services provide an extra 3,600 seats per day, bringing the total daily capacity to approximately 40,000 seats,’ Eva said in Bandung on Monday (1 June 2026). She explained that the schedule additions also extend operating hours for Bandung to Jakarta services. The last departure from Tegalluar Summarecon Station to Halim, previously available until 21:05 WIB, now runs until 21:20 WIB. The last departure from Padalarang Station to Halim, previously until 21:23 WIB, now extends to 21:38 WIB. ‘The additional services have been introduced to accommodate high passenger mobility during the long holiday return period,’ Eva said. New services include three additional departures from Tegalluar Summarecon to Halim at 15:20, 18:25, and 21:20 WIB, and from Padalarang to Halim at 15:38, 18:43, and 21:38 WIB. KCIC has also added feeder train services between Bandung and Padalarang at 15:02, 18:09, and 21:00 WIB to enhance passenger connectivity. Eva noted that the additional services provide greater flexibility for travellers planning their return trips and extend holiday durations with more evening schedule options. ‘We urge passengers to utilise the additional Whoosh services, check seat availability, and book tickets online promptly to secure their preferred travel times,’ she said.
