KCI Reveals Array of Facilities at JIS Station, Targeting Operations in June 2026
JAKARTA — PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) is preparing various facilities and service personnel ahead of the operational launch of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Station in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The station is targeted to begin operations in June 2026.
“The facilities to be provided will align with the service standards set by the government,” said KCI Vice President Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda when contacted by Kompas.com on Saturday (11/4/2026).
Several facilities being prepared include health posts, services for priority users such as wheelchairs, disability tiles, prayer rooms, and toilets. Meanwhile, ticketing machines will be installed after the JIS Station building structure is completed.
In addition to facilities, KCI is also preparing service personnel to be stationed at JIS Station, ranging from security officers and health staff to passenger service personnel.
KCI is also preparing two cleaning staff per shift.
Previously, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the construction of JIS Station is targeted to be completed in May 2026. Following that, the station is planned to start operating in June 2026, coinciding with Jakarta’s 499th Anniversary (HUT).
“In May this month, next month hopefully the KRL for JIS will also be completed. Thus, June will become a birthday gift for Jakarta,” Pramono said at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (9/4/2026).
