KCI Increases Bogor Commuter Line Services by 13 Trips, Reallocating Trains from Tanjung Priok Line
KAI Commuter will add 13 more trips to the Bogor Commuter Line starting today. This decision follows an evaluation of travel patterns implemented since the adjustment of Bogor KRL services on Monday (7/9), which was necessitated by rolling stock maintenance.
VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, explained that this increase is a result of evaluating passenger congestion following the previous reduction of 17 trips on the Bogor Commermuter Line.
“This step was taken by rearranging the circulation pattern of Commuter Line rolling stock across all service lines to optimise the number of scheduled trips,” Karina stated in a press release on Thursday (10/9/2026).
To achieve this, KCI has engineered a circulation pattern shift, reallocating train sets from the Tanjung Priok line to operate on the Bogor line. By adding sets from the Priok line, Bogor line services will increase by 13 trips.
“With the operation of these train sets, the number of Bogor Commuter Line trips will increase by 13,” she said.
She also noted that these 13 additional trips will support the demand and available transport capacity for the Bogor Commuter Line service.
“Therefore, starting Thursday (10/9), Bogor Commuter Line trips will be increased by 13. The total number of Jabodetabek Commuter Line trips will rise to 1,061, up from the 1,048 trips recorded between 7–9 September,” added Karina.
Tanjung Priok KRL Operations to be Served by Basoetta Train
As train sets from the Tanjung Priok line are diverted to the Bogor line, the temporary operations for the Tanjung Priok KRL service will be handled using the Basoetta Commuter Line sets. Despite this change, KCI ensures there will be no changes to fares or schedules for the Tanjung Priok service, and it will continue to operate as usual.
Basoetta Train Schedule to be Adjusted
Due to the temporary use of Basoetta Commuter Line sets for the Tanjung Priok line, the Basoetta KRL service schedule will undergo temporary adjustments.
“Starting Thursday, 10 September 2026, the Basoetta Commuter Line service schedule will be adjusted from 70 trips to 52 trips,” Karina added.
Consequently, KAI Commuter advises all Basoetta Commuter Line passengers to adjust their travel schedules accordingly. Passengers who have already purchased tickets for trips affected by this schedule adjustment may board on a schedule before or after their original departure time, or they may request a 100% refund via the ticket counters at Basoetta Commuter Line stations.
