KRL journeys on the Bogor and Tangerang lines that experienced delays on Thursday morning (20/8) due to trespassing incidents have now returned to normal. KAI Commuter recorded that 10 Bogor KRL journeys were delayed by up to one hour.

“As a result of the incident, 10 Commuter Line Bogor journeys experienced delays of more than one hour,” said KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan in a statement on Thursday (20/8/2026).

In addition to the delays, several Bogor line KRL journeys were cancelled. Leza said that Bogor KRL train set No. 1183, which struck a person near Tebet Station, suffered damage to its braking system.

The train has now been moved back to Manggarai Station. Bogor–Jakarta Kota line journeys have returned to normal.

Tangerang line KRL No. 1914A, which struck a motorcycle at an illegal crossing between Rawabuaya and Batu Ceper stations, has also been dealt with. A total of eight KRL journeys were delayed by nearly one hour.

“Eight Tangerang line KRL journeys experienced delays of up to 48 minutes,” Leza explained.

KAI Commuter is continuing to normalise operations and resolve delays on the Commuter Line network.

To reduce delays, KAI Commuter temporarily implemented single-track operations between Pasar Minggu and Manggarai stations for the Bogor Commuter Line, and between Rawa Buaya and Batu Ceper stations for the Tangerang Commuter Line.

KAI Commuter expressed deep regret over the delays, which disrupted Commuter Line operations due to trespassing incidents caused by a person in the railway track area and road users who failed to give priority to trains.

Under Railway Law No. 23 of 2007, KCI prohibits anyone from being in the railway track area without permission. KCI also urges road users to always give priority to trains.

“KAI Commuter strictly prohibits unauthorised persons from being in the railway track area and urges everyone to always give priority to trains when crossing level crossings,” Leza said.
