KBRI Muscat Urges Indonesian Citizens to Remain Alert and Follow Official Directives

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Embassy in Muscat on Saturday has requested all Indonesian citizens in Oman to remain calm and increase their vigilance following explosions, airspace closures and flight cancellations triggered by United States and Israeli strikes against Iran.

In an Instagram post, the Indonesian Embassy in Muscat urged Indonesian citizens to follow official directives from the Omani Government and the Indonesian diplomatic mission regarding developments in the Middle Eastern security situation, which can change rapidly.

Indonesian citizens are advised to monitor information through mass media and official sources and comply with all security advisories issued by local authorities in order to minimise risks.

The Indonesian diplomatic mission recommends that Indonesian citizens ensure their passports, identity cards and ATM cards are kept secure and prepare an emergency bag containing important items in case of urgent circumstances.

Indonesian citizens in Oman are requested to register themselves through the Indonesian Citizen Care portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate communication and data collection should the situation deteriorate.
