Jakarta (ANTARA) - General Chairman of the Indonesian National Police’s Extended Family (KBPP Polri) for the 2026–2031 period, AH Bimo Suryono, has assessed that synergy between the House of Representatives (DPR RI), the government, financial authorities, national banks, and the National Police is a key factor in maintaining national stability amid global economic dynamics and rising public aspirations.

Bimo commended the steps taken by Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, whom he views as actively building coordination with the government and various stakeholders, as well as opening dialogue with students in response to a number of strategic national issues.

“The steps taken by Dr. H. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, S.H., M.H. demonstrate responsive leadership that prioritises the nation’s interests. The communication built with the government and all stakeholders is part of the effort to maintain national stability,” Bimo said in a written statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.

Bimo assessed that coordination involving Bank Indonesia (BI), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), financial service institutions, and the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) can strengthen the national economic fundamentals.

He stated that this synergy plays a role in maintaining financial system stability, strengthening market confidence, safeguarding liquidity, and ensuring that financing for the business world and the public continues to flow.

Furthermore, Bimo considers cooperation between the DPR RI, the government, and the National Police to be equally important for maintaining public security and order as the foundation for economic growth and investment.

“Democracy will be of higher quality if all parties prioritise communication, not confrontation. Aspirations must be heard, but national stability must also be maintained as a shared interest,” he said.

Bimo added that global economic challenges require a collective response from all state institutions. According to him, cross-sector coordination is an important asset for maintaining public and business optimism.

“The synergy between the DPR RI, the government, Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, financial service institutions, national banks including Himbara, and the National Police is a great asset for the Indonesian nation in maintaining national stability. When all institutions move with one vision, public trust will increase, the business world will become more optimistic, and national development will proceed more robustly towards Indonesia Emas 2045,” Bimo stated.
