KB Bank Syariah Expands Access to Financial Services
PT Bank KB Bukopin Syariah (KB Bank Syariah) is expanding its digital banking services as a strategy to broaden public access to sharia-compliant financial services. The company is developing the BISA Mobile application, adding digital-based services, and expanding cooperation with a number of partners. President Director of PT Bank KB Bukopin Syariah Agustinus Iwan Christanto stated that the public’s need for practical banking services continues to increase. Therefore, the company is adjusting its business strategy through the development of digital services and product innovation. “We want sharia financial services to be more easily accessible to the public. The development of digital services is also expected to expand customer access to sharia banking products and services,” Iwan said in his statement on Monday (7/7/2026). In addition to developing the BISA Mobile application, KB Bank Syariah is also expanding cooperation with various partners to broaden its service reach. The company considers this collaboration necessary in line with the increasing use of digital financial services. According to Iwan, the transformation of the banking industry means banks need to adjust their service models to changes in customer behaviour, which increasingly relies on digital channels. Going forward, the company will continue developing digital services, expanding cooperation, and adding a variety of financing and funding products according to customer needs. Amidst this development, KB Bank Syariah received the Indonesia Best Bank 2026 award in the Improving Services Scope to Provide Access Convenience category at the Indonesia Best Bank Awards 2026 event held on 30 June 2026. According to Iwan, the award serves as an evaluation of the transformation steps being undertaken by the company.
