KB Bank Syariah and MBC to Develop Digital Gold Investment
KB Bank Syariah has entered into a partnership with PT Mentari Bayt Coin (MBC) to develop access to Sharia-based gold investment. The collaboration includes the provision of gold bars and support for digital transactions through the MASKITA application.
The partnership was formalised with the signing of an agreement during the Grand Launching of MBC Gold and the activation of the MASKITA application at the SM Tower Malioboro Ballroom, Yogyakarta, on Saturday (19/09/2026). KB Bank Syariah was represented at the event by Business Director Santi Aji Yuniasih.
The collaboration covers the provision of Mentari Bayt Coin gold bars with a purity level of 99.99 per cent, which are SNI certified and equipped with Bullion Protect security technology. The products are available in denominations ranging from 1 gram to 100 grams, featuring a buyback facility integrated digitally via the MASKITA application.
KB Bank Syariah Business Director Santi Aji Yuniasih stated that the partnership is an effort by the company to meet public demand for investment instruments that are easily accessible and compliant with Sharia principles.
“Currently, gold products have a strong connection with the Indonesian people as an instrument to preserve asset value. Through this collaboration with Mentari Bayt Coin and the digital support of the MASKITA Application, KB Bank Syariah aims to provide Sharia gold investment access that is more inclusive, easy, and blessed,” Santi said in a press release on Monday (21/09/2026).
The partnership also includes the development of gold-based services through the utilisation of digital technology. The mechanisms for purchasing and buying back gold can be accessed through the MASKITA application.
The collaboration between KB Bank Syariah and MBC is also part of the development of Sharia financial services that combine gold instruments with digital channels. This development aims to increase public access to Sharia-based financial and investment products.
The launch event was also attended by the General Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership as well as various leaders from the Sharia financial industry.
