KB Bank Strengthens Ecosystem-Based Productive Financing
PT Bank KB Indonesia (KB Bank) is strengthening its productive sector financing through an ecosystem-based business model. The approach integrates corporate, retail, and micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) banking services with digital platforms to support business activities and the national economy.
Wholesale Director Widodo Suryadi explained that the bank no longer focuses solely on credit distribution but provides integrated financial solutions. These services include corporate cash management, trade finance, treasury, and supply chain financing, aiming to build long-term relationships with corporate clients while expanding services across their entire business chains.
This strategy is designed to boost fee-based income, strengthen the current account saving account (CASA) ratio, and maintain asset quality through more integrated business relationships. One implementation involves a partnership with a hospital group in the Greater Jakarta area, where KB Bank provides services for six hospitals and one specialist clinic, supporting around 1,600 healthcare workers. The services extend beyond financing to include operational account management, BPJS Kesehatan and insurance company payment management, payroll, and supply chain financing for medical equipment suppliers.
President Director Kunardy Darma Lie stated that the synergy between corporate and retail banking is a key part of the bank’s transformation. Corporate customers can be linked to retail services such as payroll and housing loans, while retail customers with businesses can become entry points for corporate segment financing. As of the first quarter of 2026, KB Bank recorded a 4.76% year-on-year increase in quality loans, and the ecosystem-based financing model will continue to be developed across strategic sectors to support sustainable business growth and the Indonesian economy.
