Kayuagung-Palembang Toll Road Offers 10% Discount During Peak Eid Return Flow

Palembang (ANTARA) - The operator of the Kayuagung-Palembang toll road, PT Waskita Sriwijaya Tol (WST), will apply a 10 per cent toll fee discount on that stretch during the peak Eid return flow scheduled for 28 March 2026 to anticipate vehicle accumulation at the Kramasan toll gate. Deputy Area Manager for Transactions of the Kayuagung-Palembang Toll Road, Sumarno, in Palembang on Thursday, stated that this policy is a strategy to distribute vehicle volumes so they do not concentrate at a specific time. “The toll road operator will once again apply a 10 per cent toll fee discount during the return flow, scheduled for 28 March. This programme is expected to break up vehicle accumulation as people return,” he said. He explained that although the discount period during the Eid outbound journey ended on 15-16 March, this renewed discount programme is hoped to serve as a stimulus for the public in planning a more comfortable return trip from their hometowns. Traffic flow at the Kramasan exit point has remained smooth to date thanks to the integration of six toll gates, including the main Kramasan Barrier Gate, Pemulutan, as well as access to Indralaya and Prabumulih. “The distribution of vehicles to more gates is what keeps traffic at Kramasan maintained and avoids severe congestion. We hope the upcoming toll discount will also aid smoothness at critical points during the return flow,” he clarified. Sumarno urged the public to plan their travel times well and take advantage of the discount programme to avoid density during the Eid return flow.
