PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Kayangan Branch, in East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), will provide identification cards (ID cards) and vests for street vendors. This follows the commencement of a sterilisation programme at six ports on Monday (20/7/2026).

General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Kayangan Branch, Erlisetya Wahyudi, stated that his team has prepared various measures to support the programme’s implementation, including outreach to vendors and infrastructure preparation at Kayangan Port.

“We have conducted outreach, met with them, and discussed this. They have been registered and given ID cards and vests for the street vendors,” Erli said on Monday.

According to him, the provision of identity cards and vests is intended to organise the activities of street vendors without eliminating the livelihoods of the community members who have been trading at the location.

In terms of infrastructure, ASDP Kayangan Branch has prepared various supporting facilities, including access controls, identity verification devices, and CCTV.

“The CCTV system has been integrated with a monitor room to observe the sterile area in real time, so everything can be monitored,” Erli stated.

Additionally, boundary fences, signage, and zone markers have been set up, while port inspection posts and vehicle checkpoints have been maximised. All port officers are also required to wear identity cards, safety helmets, and operational gear in accordance with regulations.

“Although this is still a soft launch and will be implemented in stages, in line with our motto of safety, service, and security, the priority remains safety, service, and security,” Erli concluded.
