The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, through its Data and Information Technology Centre (Pusdatin), has officially launched the Kawal Haji application. This digital innovation is presented as a strategic step to improve service quality and ensure that every obstacle faced by pilgrims in the Holy Land can be handled quickly and in an integrated manner.

Pusdatin Head, Farosa, emphasised that the application represents the government’s commitment to providing transparent and responsive services. Through this platform, pilgrims and officials no longer face lengthy bureaucratic hurdles to report field issues.

“We present the Kawal Haji application as a transparent and responsive complaint facility. Pilgrims and officials can directly report incidents in the field in real-time, complete with location and supporting evidence,” said Farosa on Wednesday (22/4).

The Kawal Haji application is designed with a user-friendly interface. Pilgrims can upload reports accompanied by accurate location coordinates via a digital map and attach visual evidence. This facilitates officials in validating and following up at the incident site.

The following are the details of the features and functionalities available in the Kawal Haji application:

One of the technical advantages of Kawal Haji is its ease of installation. Users do not need to search for the application in conventional app stores. By simply accessing the official Kawal Haji website via the Chrome browser, users can select the “Add to Home Screen” feature to install the application directly on their devices.

Farosa added that the system ensures every report is not only entered into the database but is truly monitored until completion.

“We want to ensure that every report is not only recorded but also followed up. Through the history and response features, users can monitor the progress of complaint handling,” she explained.

With the implementation of this technology, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah hopes that Hajj worship will become more effective, participatory, and accountable. Active participation from pilgrims and officials is the key to realising a better Hajj ecosystem in the future.
