Kasyadi leads Challenge event

JAKARTA (JP): Kasyadi from Yani Golf Club held onto his lead
with a second round 71 on Wednesday at the Rp 75 million 1999
Andersen Consulting Challenge Golf Championship at the Pondok
Indah Golf Club.

Kasyadi has a four-under par 140 for two rounds. He scored six
birdies in the first round on Tuesday to end with a three-under-
par 69 after bogeys at the 9th, 10th and 16th holes.

Maan Nasim of Olympic Golf Club is in second place with a
three-under-par 141 after the best round of 69 on Wednesay. He
shot a 72 on Tuesday.

Dede Idris of Gading Golf Club is third with 144. Next is
Kasyadi's brother, Buari, with a two-over-par 146 for a tie with
Burhan Bora of Makassar. The professional golfers finished first
and second in the Matoa Invitational at Matoa Golf Course in
Ciganjur, South Jakarta, last week.

They are among 21 professional golfers who made the cut for
