Jakarta (ANTARA) - The head of the Regional Task Force (Kasatgaswil) for Acceleration of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR) Aceh Safrizal Zakaria Ali personally handed over kitchen equipment assistance to 600 households affected by floods and landslides in Bireuen Regency, Aceh. ‘We want to ensure affected communities can still meet their basic needs, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan. The government is here to support the recovery process in a tangible and gradual manner,’ he said in a Jakarta statement on Wednesday. The assistance is provided as a tangible form of government support to help meet residents’ basic needs, particularly during Ramadan. This assistance forms part of the commitment to accelerate post-disaster recovery so that communities can resume daily activities more effectively. ‘The PRR Task Force for Aceh Region continues to undertake accelerated rehabilitation and reconstruction measures so that the lives of residents can recover and rise again,’ he said. The symbolic handover of the aid took place in several flood- and landslide-affected villages: Gampong Pante Baro Kumbang, Peusangan District (320 households); Gampong Meuse, Kuta Blang District (120 households); Gampong Blang Panjoe, Kuta Blang District (60 households); and Gampong Dayah Panjoe, Kuta Blang District (50 households).
