Kartini Emergency School gets aid

JAKARTA: Informal schools for the children of the poor, known as the Kartini Emergency School organization, received on Tuesday more than Rp 250 million raised by the Blue League Charity Tournament.

Twins Rossy Admiral and Rian Feisal, who head the school, said that the money would be spent on uniforms, establishing a free health clinic at Bantar Gebang, Bekasi, and to build three schools in Ancol and Rawa Bebek, North Jakarta, and in Tambora, North Jakarta.

The Kartini Emergency School has eight schools in different areas in North Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta and in Bekasi, with a roll of 1,600 students.

The Blue League Charity Tournament for golfers was held here last July. --JP
