Karimun shipyard on hold

SINGAPORE (Reuters): Jurong Shipyard Ltd has put on hold
expansion plans at its Karimun shipyard in Indonesia due to
uncertainties in the crisis-stricken country, chairman Lua Cheng
Eng said yesterday.

"We are on hold. We just can't do anything now. Our plans
remain unchanged, but we are now watching developments in
Indonesia," Lua told Reuters in an interview.

"We are not in a hurry to implement the plans that we have.
But we have not changed our mind about developing Karimun yard,"
he added.
