Karding and Hasan Nasbi 'Comeback' After Briefly Leaving the Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Abdul Kadir Karding and Hasan Nasbi have rejoined the Prabowo-Gibran Merah Putih Cabinet. They previously served in the Merah Putih Cabinet. Hasan Nasbi once held the position of Head of the Presidential Communications Office and stepped down in April 2025. He was subsequently appointed as a Commissioner of PT Pertamina and has now returned to the Merah Putih Cabinet today, Monday (27/4/2026). President Prabowo has assigned Hasan Nasbi the role of Special Advisor to the President for Communications. He was reshuffled out of the Merah Putih Cabinet in September 2025 and replaced by Mukhtarudin. A few months later, Abdul Kadir Karding was called back to the Palace. Along with Hasan Nasbi and four other figures, Abdul Kadir Karding took the oath of office in front of the President. He was inaugurated as Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency. Hasan Nasbi is a political observer and consultant from Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. He also worked as a journalist from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2008, Hasan Nasbi served as a researcher at the Centre for Political Studies at the University of Indonesia. Eventually, he founded the Cyrus Network survey institute.
