Karawang Transport Chief Examined Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct with Minor

The Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Karawang Regency, West Java, has examined the local Head of the Transportation Department, Muhana, in connection with reports alleging sexual misconduct leading to the pregnancy of a teenager. “We have summoned the individual concerned for clarification regarding the news that has been circulating in online media and on social media over the past few days,” said BKPSDM Karawang Secretary Gerry Sigit Samrodi in Karawang on Wednesday. The summons letter for Transport Chief Muhana, numbered 800.1.6.2/2716/PPEKD, was issued on Tuesday (23/6), and the individual promptly complied with the BKPSDM Karawang’s call. Gerry stated that the summons is part of an initial review process aimed at obtaining necessary information, explanations, and facts directly from the person involved. Regarding the results of the clarification, Gerry said they could not yet be disclosed to the public. He noted that his office still requires further investigation and additional relevant information to obtain a complete, objective, and accountable picture before determining follow-up steps. He mentioned that handling alleged violations of civil servant discipline involves mechanisms and stages that must be followed in accordance with statutory regulations. According to him, every piece of information received will be carefully reviewed before any decision is made. Previously, news of sexual misconduct resulting in a teenager’s pregnancy, which implicated the name of Karawang Transport Chief Muhana, circulated on various social media platforms, prompting the individual to provide a public clarification by inviting a number of media activists. In his clarification, Muhana denied the allegations that he had committed sexual misconduct leading to a teenager’s pregnancy. He even stated that he was ready to prove his innocence through a series of tests.
