Karawang Timur Off-Ramp Partially Closed Until 26 May, Here Are the Affected Points
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is carrying out resurfacing works on several points of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (Japek) as part of routine maintenance to uphold the toll road’s infrastructure quality. Senior Manager Representative Office 1 PT JTT Amri Sanusi said the works are being carried out at several points on the Karawang Timur Off-Ramp and will be conducted in stages until 26 May 2026. ‘As part of efforts to maintain toll service quality, JTT will carry out road pavement reconstruction at several points on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road sector,’ Amri said, quoted on Saturday (23/05/2026). Amri explained that the first works were carried out at Karawang Timur Off-Ramp 1 on lane 1 and the outer shoulder. The works began on Thursday (21/05/2026) from 07:00 WIB until Tuesday (26/05/2026) at 00:00 WIB. In addition, works were carried out at Karawang Timur Off-Ramp 2 on lane 1 from Friday (22/05/2026) at 22:00 WIB until Monday (25/05/2026) at 05:00 WIB. Ria Marlinda Paallo, Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT, said routine maintenance is carried out as a preventive measure to uphold toll service standards amid high daily traffic. ‘Through routine maintenance activities, JTT continues to keep the toll road in reliable, safe, and comfortable condition for road users. We are committed to ensuring the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road remains capable of supporting public mobility and logistics distribution smoothly and sustainably,’ said Ria. Ria added that during the works, the company will prepare situational traffic management and equip the work area with safety equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Information about the works is also conveyed via Dynamic Message Sign (DMS), official Jasa Marga Group social media, and banners around the work site. JTT also urged road users to plan trips, ensure vehicle and driver are in prime condition, keep a safe distance, and follow signs and directions of on-site personnel.
