Karawang Regent Inaugurates and Swears in 364 School Principals and Functional Officials
Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh inaugurated and swore in school principals for elementary (SD) and junior high (SMP) levels, as well as several functional officials within the Karawang Regency Government. The inauguration took place at the field of SMPN 2 Telukjambe Timur on Thursday (2/4). A total of 364 civil servants (ASN) were inaugurated and sworn in, comprising 323 elementary school principals, 30 junior high school principals, and 11 functional officials. The Regent stressed that the entire process was conducted in accordance with applicable rules and procedures. He expressed appreciation to the entire apparatus of the Karawang District Education and Culture Office. The education sector is a major vessel carrying the nation’s most valuable asset. “Thank you to the big family of the Education and Culture Office because what we are carrying is human resources (HR) for the future. I hope this trust can improve the quality of education for the young generation of Karawang,” he added. The Regent also highlighted priority programmes for developing educational infrastructure for SD and SMP in Karawang Regency, as well as the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme that has begun in schools. He requested that schools and MBG partners work according to the established standards. “I emphasise to all parties to work according to standards. Report immediately if any deviations are found related to this MBG programme,” he stated. The Karawang Regency Government also ensures that the flagship Karawang Cerdas programme will continue. Its capacity is even being increased to ensure the 12-year compulsory education target for all children in Karawang is achieved.
