Karangasem Public Prosecutor’s Office Hosts Public Service Bazaar for SIM, Passport and Administrative Services
Karangasem Public Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) held a Public Service Bazaar on Veteran Road, Karangasem, on Sunday, 24 May 2026. Head of Kejari Karangasem, Shinta Ayu Dewi RR, stated the event adopted a “jemput bola” (door-to-door) approach. Multiple administrative services were available at one location, including SIM renewal, police clearance certificate (SKCK), Samsat services, KTP, passports, guardianship services, traffic violation evidence collection, free health checks, and blood donation.
“This innovation stems from our efforts to bring services closer, faster, and more accessible to the public,” Shinta said.
The public service booths were crowded with attendees. Shinta noted the bazaar exemplified inter-agency synergy, with Kejari Karangasem collaborating with the Karangasem Regency Government and Karangasem Police Resort to provide integrated services in public spaces.
Karangasem Regent I Gusti Putu Parwata (Gus Par) praised the initiative, stating, “This is an excellent innovation that should be continued. We hope it can be held regularly, at least once a month.”
Similarly, Karangasem Police Chief AKBP I Made Santika highlighted the free SKCK and SIM renewal services offered by his office as support for Kejari’s programme. “This is clear evidence of strong inter-agency synergy in Karangasem,” Santika said.
Reports indicated high public turnout for various services, with many seeking SIM and STNK renewals. Local resident I Made Arianta said he attended specifically for STNK renewal. “My STNK was about to expire, so I took the opportunity to renew it immediately. It’s very convenient and straightforward,” he explained.
