Kampung Rambutan Terminal Temporarily Flooded Due to Cipinang River Overflow
Flooding temporarily occurred in the Kampung Rambutan Terminal area last night due to the overflow of the Cipinang River. The flooding did not disrupt the operations of intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) buses, and the water has begun to recede.
“There was flooding, but it did not affect bus operations. Buses continued to operate as usual, and the water conditions have now started to recede,” said the Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, as quoted by Antara on Sunday (22/3/2026).
Revi stated that buses and Transjakarta services were ensured to run normally without significant disruptions.
According to him, the flooding began around 10:00 PM WIB. The water entering the terminal area came from the overflow of the Cipinang River after heavy rain with considerable intensity hit the region.
“The water height reached about 10 to 20 centimetres due to heavy rain and river overflow,” he said.
Revi assured that the conditions were still considered safe for the activities of large vehicles such as buses entering and exiting the terminal.
“Buses continued to serve passengers without any trip cancellations due to the flooding,” he stated.
According to him, terminal staff continued to monitor field conditions to anticipate possible subsequent flooding, especially if rain falls again with high intensity.
As the water receded, passenger activities at the terminal gradually returned to normal.
Nevertheless, the management still advised transport service users to be alert to weather conditions and potential flooding at several points, particularly in areas traversed by river flows.
