Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, stated that there has already been a decrease in passenger visits on H-2 Eid.

“Indeed, the peak of the 2026 Eid homecoming occurred yesterday, on Wednesday, 18 March 2026. Today, the number of passengers will decrease compared to yesterday,” Revi told ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday.

Revi said the peak mudik flow occurred on Wednesday (18/3), with 5,336 passengers. Meanwhile, based on data collected up to 1 PM today, the number of passengers departing from Kampung Rambutan Terminal stands at 1,259 people.

From 8 AM to 12 PM, many buses will depart to areas around Sumatra Island, such as Padang, Lampung, and Palembang.

Up to today, Revi admitted to not having received any reports of homecomers running out of tickets. The Kampung Rambutan Terminal management is endeavouring to anticipate this by providing additional buses to ensure all homecomers can be transported comprehensively.

So far, there have been three additional buses that departed on Wednesday (18/3), the peak of the mudik flow. These three buses are heading to the most popular destinations like Yogyakarta, Wonosobo, and Pekalongan.

Each bus carries around 40 passengers.

Meanwhile, today there are only 105 personnel on standby.
