KAMMI commits to contributing to development and the interests of the people

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Centre for the Indonesian Muslim Student Action Union (KAMMI) has committed to contributing to nation-building and advocating for the people’s interests. ‘KAMMI will continue to be present as a student organisation that contributes to nation-building and fights for the people’s interests and national strategic agendas,’ said KAMMI Secretary General Nazmul Watan in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday. He said the consolidation of the organisation is being strengthened in various regions so that KAMMI’s movement remains effective, directed, and delivers a positive impact for society. Earlier, PP KAMMI officially updated the Decree of Administration for the 2024–2026 period. The update has been recorded and officially registered in the General Legal Administration System (AHU) of the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, thereby confirming the legality and validity of the leadership structure of the student organisation. The composition of the core leadership of PP KAMMI for 2024–2026 is: Chairman Ahmad Jundi Khalifatullah, Secretary General Nazmul Watan, and Treasurer Mochammad Bachroeddin. The update to the SK leadership forms part of the organisation’s administrative process ensuring that all activities and institutional representation of KAMMI proceed in accordance with the applicable laws in Indonesia. Nazmul stated that PP KAMMI for 2024–2026 remains solid and will continue to carry out organisational work as mandated by the muktamar. KAMMI also reminded the public and all partner organisations to beware of parties claiming to represent KAMMI but not within the legitimate leadership structure. He emphasised that only the leadership led by Chairman Ahmad Jundi Khalifatullah has organisational legitimacy and legal recognition. He said that if there are individuals claiming or using the name KAMMI outside the legitimate leadership, they have no legal basis and do not represent the organisation. ‘Adapun oknum-oknum yang membawa nama KAMMI di luar kepengurusan yang sah di bawah kepemimpinan Ahmad Jundi Khalifatullah adalah ilegal dan tidak memiliki legitimasi organisasi,’ Nazmul said. With the updated SK for the leadership, KAMMI hopes all cadres across various regions can further strengthen organisational consolidation and carry out the strategic role of students in safeguarding public policy, advocating for the people’s interests, and contributing to nation-building towards a more advanced and just Indonesia.
