JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Kamisan action is urging the government to immediately form a Joint Fact-Finding Team (TGPF) to investigate the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus.

The demand was voiced by criminologist and academic from the University of Indonesia, Mamik Sri Supatmi, while reading out the demands of the 902nd Kamisan action in front of the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (2/4/2026).

Kamisan action participants believe that forming a TGPF is necessary to uncover all perpetrators, including the alleged chain of command and intellectual actors behind the attack.

In addition, the protesters are also pushing for the case to be handled through the general courts.

According to Mamik, the acid attack was not merely grievous bodily harm, but an attempted murder.

“This case must be constructed as an attempted premeditated murder with planning in accordance with Article 459 in conjunction with Article 17 in conjunction with Article 20 of the Criminal Code, not grievous bodily harm,” she added.
