Kalteng Governor: Sanctions for 52 Civil Servants Absent Without Permission
Palangkaraya (ANTARA) - Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Governor Agustiar Sabran has instructed his subordinates to impose firm sanctions on civil servants (ASN) who were absent without explanation. “Earlier, there were 52 people who were absent without permission; the rules must be enforced in accordance with applicable regulations and legislation,” the Governor explained in Palangkaraya on Tuesday. He made this statement during a major roll call for the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, combined with the Halal Bihalal for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah at the governor’s office courtyard. “When necessary, customary law should be applied to such people because they lack manners. They collect their salaries but give nothing back to the people of Central Kalimantan,” he stressed. He reminded civil servants of their responsibilities as state servants, so they should provide the best services and dedication to the community. “This is why we convey it this way, because it is our responsibility as the Governor of Central Kalimantan,” Agustiar clarified. Furthermore, the governor stated that the major roll call was also a means to strengthen synergy among various lines to optimise Central Kalimantan’s development. “It is also in the context of Eid al-Fitr, as well as Easter and Nyepi. If we are harmonious or united, it will certainly be easier to develop Central Kalimantan,” he said. The Head of the Central Kalimantan Regional Personnel Agency (BKD), Lisda Arriyana, explained that her office would immediately follow up on the governor’s instructions regarding the 52 ASN. “We will prepare warning letters, including names and agencies, in the form of written reprimands,” she clarified. However, Lisda explained that her office would also conduct further checks and verify the data to ensure that sanctions or reprimands are truly carried out in accordance with the provisions.
